Program Highlights
The Women’s Heart Health Program at UAB Medicine addresses the unique presentations, risk factors, and symptoms that women face and helps them benefit from cardiac care tailored to their individual needs. As Alabama’s flagship cardiovascular center and a leader in research, UAB provides state-of-the-art testing for coronary microvascular disease (CMD). Led by an experienced team that includes preventive and interventional cardiologists, the program also treats women with spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), heart failure – including HFpEF – and pregnancy-associated cardiac disease.
